Deliveroo SMS Verification
Receive a Deliveroo sign-up code, with notes for travelers.
Deliveroo is a food delivery service that works in a limited set of countries. To order, you sign up with a phone number. Deliveroo texts a code, and riders may later call or text that number about your delivery.
That second part matters. SMS Activate can rent you a number for the sign-up text, but a rented number does not take calls. This page explains where it fits and where it does not. Your wallet is charged when the number is issued, and an order with no SMS in 20 minutes is refunded.
How to verify Deliveroo in 5 steps

What the code is for
The code confirms that you control the number you typed in. After that, Deliveroo links your orders, saved addresses and payment methods to the account.
For a real food order, a rider might try to reach you at the door or if the address is unclear. If they call a number that cannot answer, your order can be delayed or even lost. Put a working number on the account before you order.
Where a rented number helps
It helps when you want to look around the app, check a restaurant menu and delivery fee, or create an account before you arrive in a country where your home SIM is not active.
For that last case, add your real local number once you have one. Most apps let you change the number in the profile page.
Country notes
Deliveroo runs in a small list of countries and the list changes. Pick a number from a country where it operates, or Deliveroo may say the number cannot be used. If it does, cancel after the first two minutes and try another country.
We cannot promise that a given number will be accepted. That is decided by Deliveroo.
Price and refunds
Prices vary by country and stock, usually between a few cents and a dollar. Codes normally arrive within a minute.
If no SMS comes in 20 minutes, the order is refunded to your wallet. The dashboard shows the rules for your order.
