LinkedIn SMS Verification
Verify a LinkedIn account without using your personal number.
LinkedIn is where people keep their work profile, so an account there tends to last for years. It asks for a phone number to confirm you are a real person and to help protect the account. It may send a code when you sign up, or when it sees an unusual login.
SMS Activate can rent you a number to receive that code. The number and code show on your dashboard. Your wallet is charged when the number is issued, and an activation with no SMS inside 20 minutes is refunded.
How to verify LinkedIn in 5 steps
- 1Open the dashboard and choose LinkedIn from the service list.
- 2Pick a country and buy a number.
- 3Enter the number where LinkedIn asks for it.
- 4Wait for the code on your dashboard.
- 5Enter it, then add a recovery email and an authenticator app.
Why LinkedIn wants a number
LinkedIn sees a lot of fake profiles, so it checks new accounts, especially ones that start sending many connection requests. A code by SMS is one of the checks it uses. Sometimes it asks for the code only once, and sometimes again after a login from a new place.
The number can also be used for two-step login. If you turn that on with a rented number, you could lose access later. Use an authenticator app for two-step login instead.
Who uses a second number
Recruiters and sales people who run a company page, freelancers who want a separate work identity, and people who are tired of recruiter texts all have reasons to keep their number off the account.
Whatever your reason, the profile should be real. LinkedIn's rules require real names and honest information, and fake or duplicate accounts are removed.
Things that can go wrong
LinkedIn can refuse numbers it has seen often, or ask for an ID check on top of the code. A rented number cannot help with an ID check, and we cannot promise acceptance.
If the number is refused, cancel after the first two minutes and try another country. Avoid many tries on the same profile in a short time.
Price and refunds
Prices usually range from a few cents to about a dollar. Codes normally arrive within a minute.
If no SMS comes in 20 minutes, the order is refunded to your wallet. Your dashboard lists the cancellation rules for your order.
Frequently asked questions
Is it fine to use a rented number for a work profile?
For the first code, yes. For long-term safety, use an authenticator app and a recovery email.
Can I run several accounts?
LinkedIn's rules require real, single profiles. We do not support fake accounts.
What if LinkedIn asks for ID?
A rented number cannot help with that. Follow LinkedIn's steps.
What if the SMS does not arrive?
The order is refunded to your wallet after 20 minutes.
